Platt has been a lawyer with a general civil litigation practice in Kentucky and In- diana for the past 52 years. He concluded his law practice in 2025 while at Ricketts Law Offices in Louisville. Platt is a graduate of University of Louisville and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He was admitted to the Kentucky and Indiana bars. During his legal career, Platt served as a real estate closing at- torney and as an Assistant District Counsel and trial attorney for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District. Become a Fellow of the LBF LBF Fellows Program participants are generous individuals who have made a one-time gift or pledge of $1,000 or more to the Foundation’s endowment. LBA members may become LBF Fellows by pledging $250 per year over a four-year period. The Foundation recognizes its Fellows in various promotional materials and invites Fellows to special events throughout the year. Over 375 of your colleagues are LBF Fellows. Join them! Your law firm or legal department can become a Foundation Partner To qualify for Foundation Partner status, firms or in-house corporate legal departments (of five or more members) make a $45 contribution to the LBF for each LBA member attorney in the firm or department. Funds contributed through the Foundation Partners program will help continue the charitable works of the LBF by supporting the grant making operations and increasing the funds available for grant awards.
